This standalone laser printer is capable of printing at resolutions of up to 600 dpi and eight pages per minute. It is suited for individual print needs and small workgroups. The six LEDs on the front panel convey various types of information regarding the status of printing along with error messages and how to rectify problems. The print speed in text mode was quite good but it delivered average performance in the graphics speed tests.
The print quality proved to be rather good while printing the TIFF image, giving the printer an overall score of 65, making it one of the best in its class. The printer driver offers settings for paper types, print resolution and image contrast, along with graphical indications for the sheet-feed paths. A special mode called N-up printing allows the printer to generate a print of up to 16 pages tiled in a single sheet...ideal for previewing documents and conserving paper. With a very good set of features and capabilities, this printer is an excellent choice for individual users or a small office network.
